Closing out Women’s History Month on a high, The GRC Network returns with our first event this year exploring how women can advance into more senior roles within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance sector. The event aims to address how individuals can navigate age and gender bias, manage their career amidst life’s challenges, and ways to position themselves to become industry leaders. This event is open to anyone working in the GRC space from any industry.
Chrystalla Polydorides – Head of Legal at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking
Chrystalla is the Head of Banking Legal for Santander’s Corporate and Investment Banking division in the UK and the Global Legal Lead for Santander’s ESG Group. She has over 17 years of experience in banking, having worked previously at Barclays Capital and BoC. She is a qualified NY Attorney.
Rupal Patel – VP Head of Data & Risk Intelligence at Acin and Founder of Women in Risk & Control
Rupal is a Senior Risk Control & Governance Leader, Board Advisor and Diversity & Inclusion Champion, pioneering the use of technology in risk management across financial services. Additionally, she founded Women in Risk & Control, a collaborative industry initiative to positively impact gender diversity in Non-Financial Risk Management at leadership levels.
Chandni Bhan – UK Head of Risk at Morgan Stanley Investment Management
Dr Chandni Bhan is Global Head of Quant Research and Model Risk and Head of Risk UK. Previously, she held roles across the business as Head of Risk for MSIM EMEA and CRO for MSIM Ireland. She has over 16 years of working in Finance, both in front office and risk, with extensive expertise on the buy-side and sell-side. She earned her PhD in statistics & probability from Michigan State University. She has pioneered analytical systems to build a proactive and forward-looking risk function embedded in the business, ensuring the firms drive prudent risk growth for clients. She is a member of the EMEA Operating Committee, Risk Leadership group, and other global committees, including Chair for the Global Investment Management Model risk committee. She also hosts several diversity podcasts and webinars for the business and is passionate about infusing confidence in people.
